Kelley Hampton Massiah is an experienced strategy and talent leader in the education and non-profit sector. Most recently, she was a Partner and Managing Director of Search for Stronger Consulting, leading their national retained search work, placing over 75 diverse leaders with public school districts, education and youth non-profits, and charter management organizations and charter schools. In this role, she led nine (9) school leader searches and supported the development of strong hiring practices for charter schools including KIPP Colorado, East Harlem Tutorial Program, Alliance College Ready Public Schools, and Libertas College Prep. She also supported Connecticut RISE in placing several leadership roles.
Before joining Stronger, Kelley served as Director of School Leader Hiring and Partnerships for Alliance College-Ready Public Schools in Los Angeles, managing school leadership recruitment and selection for 28 schools across the city. Her work included launching Alliance's first Aspiring Principal program, a development pipeline for internal growth for teachers and leaders. As a part of this work, she led the hiring process for over 15 Assistant Principals and 10 school leaders across the city. While at Alliance, she also participated in the KIPP Leadership Development Fellowship Program.
Recruited to join the Broad Residency in Urban Education, she served as the Director of Strategic Growth for Equitas Academy Charter Schools in Los Angeles where she developed performance management processes for executive leadership and facilitated network data and compliance efforts.
Kelley has also led program development and capacity-building in support of over 50 schools and youth-serving agencies in her work with Break the Cycle, a national youth dating violence non-profit in Washington, D.C, Kelley holds a J.D/MPP from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and currently lives in Texas with her partner and son.
